St Edward's Festival

October 13th is the Feast Day of our Patron Saint Edward, King and Confessor. Each year, to mark this occasion, there is a Music and Arts Festival. A variety of local musicians regularly take part in the Festival.

ST EDWARD’S MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL, 5-17 October 2009.

Tue 6th. 7.30pm. Glen Manby Jazz Trio. Melodic jazz standard tunes and songs composed by a variety of jazz musicians, from Duke Ellington to Charles Mingus.
Wed 7th. 7.30pm. Holy Eucharist. St Edward’s Choir & Cathays Early Music Consort: Byrd’s Mass for 4 Voices.
Fri 9th. 7.30pm. Alison Dite & Jeremy Kinglake-Jones: Lute Recital.
Sat 10th. 7.30pm. Scott Baker & Janet Powell.
Sunday, 11th. 11am. Patronal Sung Eucharist. Preacher: Rev Dr T.O.Hughes, Chaplain to Cardiff University.
Tue 13th. 6.30pm.
Poetry Reading by Paul Henry, Poet, Writer and Broadcaster.
Tue 13th. 7.30pm. Jayne Thomas (piano), Iolo Jones (violin), Nicola Harris (sop) and Anne Brayley (mezzo).
Wed 14th. 7.45pm. Cardiff & Vale Symphonic Brass.
Fri 16th. 7.30pm. Gary Mullins.
