(gwasanaeth Bendithio yn dilyn Partneriaeth Sifil neu Briodas rhwng dau berson o'r un rhyw)

Dr Heather Payne writes: The Church in Wales Governing Body (GB) has approved a Bill to approve a service of blessing following a civil partnership or marriage between two people of the same sex. I am our elected lay representative on GB, and have been appointed to serve on the Select Committee to scrutinise the Bill before it goes back to GB in 6 months time, for the final vote. Similar to Parliamentary procedure, the process allows amendments to be proposed, which is this Select Committee stage. It’s really important that Church members have an opportunity to give a view on this matter, as I know that some are strongly in favour, whilst others have concerns. I’d encourage everyone to read the documents, pray about the proposals in the life of our church, and feel free to contact me to discuss them, any time at church or by email drheatherpayne@hotmail.com. Amendments must be proposed by 3 March 2021.
