St Edward's Festival

October 13th is the Feast Day of our Patron Saint Edward, King and Confessor. Each year, to mark this occasion, there is a Music and Arts Festival. A variety of local musicians regularly take part in the Festival.

ST EDWARD’S MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL, 14-21 October 2017.

14-21 Oct. St Edward’s. Festival Exhibition: paintings by the late Laurie Williams ARIBA.

Fri 13 Oct. 7.30pm. Voice Male, Women in Harmony, with Jazz accompaniment.

Wed 18 Oct. 7.45pm. Concert by Cardiff & Vale of Glamorgan Symphonic Brass.

Fri 20 Oct. 7.30pm. Jazz: The Gentle Rain Ensemble.

21-22 Oct . 11am-4pm daily. St Edward's. Widening Access Summer School Exhibition in the schoolroom (Made in Roath/St Edward’s Festival).

Sat 21 Oct. 11am. Coffee Concert: Noru Hirano (violin) & Alison Dite (piano) – Beethoven Violin Sonata op12 no.1 and Saint Saens Violin Sonata in D minor op75.

Sat 21 Oct 1pm. St Edward's. "Seven Days" Book Reading and Signing by Nathan Munday. (Made in Roath/St Edward’s Festival).

Sat 21 Oct 2pm. St Edward's. Folded Books Drop-in Workshop (Made in Roath). Transform a tatty old book into a work of art with just a few simple folds. Doreen Barnaville from Cardiff Met’s School of Art & Design Library will show you how to create a unique sculptural piece which you can then take home. Bring a book you no longer want – or use one of ours – we’ll have plenty!
