Heather writes:

My week at the Anglican Consultative Council meeting in Hong Kong was full to bursting with new experiences and people. I was privileged to meet many wonderful Anglicans from the 40 provinces all round the world, and it was wonderful to share worship and work together, especially to hear the gospel and the Lord's prayer in many languages. One key thread was about our mission as Christians - a key new resource is 'Living and Sharing a Jesus Shaped Life' JSL Booklet English
This reminds us of the 5 'marks of mission' of every disciple of Jesus - that's all of us! WE should strive to do these 5 things:
TELL: proclaim the Good News of God’s Reign
TEACH: teach, baptise and nurture new believers
TEND: respond to human need by loving service
TRANSFORM: work to transform unjust structures of society, challenging violence of every kind and pursuing peace and reconciliation
TREASURE: strive to safeguard the integrity of creation, and to sustain and renew the life of the earth
I hope we can use these ideas to inform and inspire our church and daily lives. A more detailed report to follow!
